Interessant: Mit Wim Wenders' Pina ist seit Ewigkeiten mal wieder ein deutscher Film ausserhalb der Kurzfilm- und "Foreign Language"-Kategorien nominiert und auch bei den Kurzfilmen findet sich mit "Raju" ein deutscher Beitrag. Noch interssanter: Die sage und schreibe 10(!) Nominierungen für den französischen Stummfilm "The Artist" - der ist als Oscar-Kandidat durchaus ernstzunehmen. Überhaupt, es scheint das Jahr der Kino-Nostalgie-Filme zu sein - auch der 11 mal nominierte Hugo von Martin Scorsese geht, wenn auch auf anderer Ebene, trotz moderner 3D-Technik in diese Richtung.
